Looking to strengthen your resume? Trying to grow your business? Finding it difficult to connect with the chamber? Need an outlet for your creative problem solving? 

The Pleasant Hill Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors is the perfect spot for you! We are looking to fill a few spots on our Board of Directors this fall. This opportunity is important in the development of the chamber of commerce at a high level. You will guide the chamber to success through strategic planning, budget management, and membership development. 

The timing couldn't be more perfect if you are looking to create a stronger connection with your community. As Pleasant Hill transitions into a "new normal," this opportunity gives you a front row seat to developing a stronger community. You do not need to have any previous Board of Directors experience, and we will teach you everything you need to know. We are looking for people who care about the business community in Pleasant Hill, have a strong commitment to relationship development, and do business or work in Pleasant Hill. 

Duties

Because of the size of the Pleasant Hill Chamber of Commerce, the time commitment of the Board of Directors is anywhere between 2 and 12 hours each month. Board of Directors are expected to be in attendance for monthly board meetings and any committees they may chair or be on. Many times, the Pleasant Hill Board of Directors also takes a key role in volunteering at chamber and community events. Their businesses are the first to sign-up for sponsorships or help out with Chill on the Hill. They truly are the face and voice of the chamber. 

Additional duties include promotion of the chamber and events. This promotion includes welcoming new folks into the chamber, meeting with prospective members, and creating a welcoming environment at events. Board of Directors also improve the chamber by advocating for business and developing policies that are suited for this business community.
