Our Community
The city of Pleasant Hill, Iowa was incorporated May 12, 1956. At the conclusion of the 2024 special census, the population was 11,079 and we are 4th fastest growing city in the Des Moines Metro area.

Regional Chamber Event at Prairie Meadows- DSM Chamber Hosting
Join Members from across Greater Des Moines at Prairie Meadows on the apron for horse racing. Bring the family, co-workers, and friends for this regional chamber event, hosted by the Des Moines Chamber of Commerce. This event is free to attend, but registration is encouraged.
The Des Moines Chamber is an Affiliate of the Greater Des Moines Partnership. Members of any Greater Des Moines Partnership Affiliate Chambers are welcome to attend this networking event and connect with Members from across Greater Des Moines.
