Our Community
The city of Pleasant Hill, Iowa was incorporated May 12, 1956. At the conclusion of the 2024 special census, the population was 11,079 and we are 4th fastest growing city in the Des Moines Metro area.

Summer Fest- Parade and Family Friendly Activities
Saturday, July 25th:10 AM- Parade route will start at Doanes Park
Noon-3 PM: Activities at the lake with Food vendors on site 4390 E University
1-4 PM Car Show at Unity Point Pleasant Hill Family Medicine 1205 Copper Creek Dr
Parade registration will be open through Friday, July 17th. Please note that no parade entries will be accepted after the registration deadline.
